Terms of Service

Last updated: March 23, 2026

Service description

TeardownHQ provides website positioning teardown reports. When you place an order, you submit a website URL and supporting business context through our intake form. We analyze your public-facing site for conversion issues, including messaging clarity, visual hierarchy, trust signals, conversion paths, and competitive positioning, and deliver a structured PDF report with prioritized findings and specific recommendations.

By placing an order with TeardownHQ, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Delivery timeline

Reports are delivered within 24 hours of receiving your completed intake form submission. Most reports are delivered in under 12 hours. Delivery is made via email to the address you provide during checkout. If we are unable to complete your report within the stated timeframe due to circumstances within our control, we will notify you and offer a full refund if you prefer not to wait.

Payment terms

All orders require a one-time payment at the time of purchase. Prices are listed on our website and are subject to change without notice, though any price change will not affect orders already placed. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.

Promotional codes, when available, may be applied at checkout and are subject to their own terms and expiration dates.

Refund policy

If your teardown report does not surface actionable issues specific to your website, we will issue a full refund. To request a refund, contact us at support@teardownhq.com within 14 days of receiving your report.

Refunds are not available if the URL you submitted is inaccessible, contains no meaningful content, or violates our Acceptable Use policy.

Intellectual property

Upon delivery and payment in full, you own the teardown report produced for your website. You may use it internally, share it with your team, or provide it to third-party contractors working on your site.

TeardownHQ retains ownership of its analysis methodology, scoring frameworks, report templates, and underlying systems. You may not resell, redistribute, or publicly publish the report as your own work or as a competing service.

Limitations and disclaimers

Our analysis is based on the public-facing version of your website at the time of analysis. We do not access your backend systems, analytics platforms, or any authenticated areas of your site.

Teardown reports contain recommendations based on established conversion optimization principles and our proprietary analysis framework. Implementing these recommendations does not guarantee increased conversions, revenue, or any specific business outcome. Results depend on many factors outside our control, including your product, market conditions, traffic quality, and implementation quality.

TeardownHQ is not a substitute for legal, financial, or professional business advice. Our reports address website positioning and conversion optimization only.

Acceptable use

Each order covers analysis of one URL. You may submit your own website or a website you are authorized to optimize. You may not use TeardownHQ to:

Analyze websites promoting illegal activities or harmful content

Analyze websites you do not own or have authorization to optimize

Submit URLs that are inaccessible, behind authentication, or contain no meaningful content

Reverse-engineer our analysis methodology for use in a competing service

We reserve the right to refuse service and issue a refund if a submitted URL violates this policy.

Tier upgrades

If you purchase a Core or Pro tier report, you may upgrade to a higher tier by paying the difference. Upgrade links are included with your report delivery. Upgrades are processed as a new analysis at the higher tier depth, not an addendum to the original report.

Modifications to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of TeardownHQ after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If we make material changes that affect existing orders, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected customers.

Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of TeardownHQ shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TeardownHQ’s total liability for any claim arising from your use of our service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific teardown report in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost revenue, lost profits, or business interruption, regardless of the theory of liability.
